On arrival, we were warmly greeted and generously upgraded to a room with a wonderful balcony for our 2 week stay! It was magical! This was our 2nd time staying here. This hotel is an authentic Spanish hotel with Spanish staff which we love. The setting is so beautiful, lush and green, filled with bird song. There is a beautiful swimming pool. There is a wonderful selection of fresh food for breakfast and dinner. They cater for gluten free. The new Terrace restaurant is fantastic! The installation of a new elevator has made all areas accessible! All of the staff were so helpful. This hotel is around 15 minutes from Tarifa and Algeciras. There is a local bus service. The nearby petrol station has a small convenience store which is handy. We will definitely stay here again 😀

Yet another wonderful 2 week stay in the Meson! Fantastic staff, so helpful. Beautiful setting with wonderful trees and flowers around. We live this particularly! Lovely food. Breakfast buffet, fabulous selection! Very reasonable dinner prices with very good selection on the A la carte menu. Option of the stunning setting of the outdoor terrace or indoor dining. Authentic rustic Spanish feel, small hotel... personal. Just what we love!! Perfect location for many amazing birdwatching sites. 15 mins from Tarifa by car to visit. Love this part of Spain! We will return yet again!!

Rooms were lovely and clean and we had good views even from the budget rooms. We had buffet breakfast which had a wide range of options. Dinner was tasty - we ate from the menu although they said there was a buffet (not sure where). The staff were very friendly and helpful - and really went above and beyond to sort out some car issues we had. The location was a pleasant surprise - although close to the main road between Tarifa and Algeciras, the rooms were away from the road and it was very quiet. Tea in the room was a considerate touch! Spanish TV and wifi available in the rooms.

This hotel was chosen as a 'meeting point' for a group of people travelling by car to The Gambia! As such, they had 40 people arriving in a variety of old cars for a couple of days!!! Staff were excellent, some speaking perfect English, some speaking none, most speaking a little. My Spanish is limited, but I managed to get fed and watered adequately for 2 days. Restaurant has a small choice (out of season), but everything is cooked fresh and of excellent quality. Rooms were great.

Our stay was too early in the season to be able to avail of the pool. It was only being filled after the winter when we arrived. The hotel is located about 10 min by car from Algeciras and 15 min from Tariffa. It is a very pleasant rural area. very picturesque with local views across to Africa. The Hotel is very relaxing and exudes a stress free ambiance. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

The staff and food are excellent. We had a lovely evening meal and also booked for breakfast. The breakfast is a high standard and we'll worth the money. The hotel has a lot of greenery and makes the best if its querky location.

My stay at Meson de Sancho exceeded all my expectations. The staff has been friendly and super kind. The room wasn’t modern, but spotless and beautifully appointed, providing a serene environment to unwind. The hotel is on the way to Tarifa and beaches, and I promise it can’t go unnoticed when you pass by. It’s beautifully decorated. I was also impressed by the environment: peaceful and private. The location is also perfect if you’re planning to rent a car, it’s just 10 min drive to Tarifa and 2 min drive to Mirador del Estrecho.

We just stopped over for one night. What a mistake! Loved the hotel and its vibe. It breathes old school grandness in its generous layout and style. Very generous rooms with amazing views (we booked the rooms with a balcony, def worth it. In fact, you could see Marrocco in the distance). Best breakfast buffet so far on our trip. Pool looked fantastic too, but we didn't have time to enjoy it. Nice boutique with interesting clothes and jewelry. Good restaurant with various choices for indoor and outdoor seating. Great value. I hope to be back one day.

Everything We enjoyed the stay so much we extended for another night The facilities for our pets to stay with us and even with an outdoor area for them to dine with us meant that we did not have to leave them in the room alone at all The pool and gardens are amazing and it was lovely to look out of the room and see goats and sheep wandering around freely The food and service has been wonderful The room and terrace are great These guys have got it right from start to finish

It’s a gem, you can see it’s old but really well taken care of. Nice decoration and very clean. Food is excellent and view from the room is beautiful!
